Is it a daunting task to get organised?

It is an empowering and rewarding experience to declutter. Many people experience the decluttering process of their homes as therapeutic and emotionally uplifting. As it may, many people find it difficult to start organising their homes and that is why Professional Organisers can be hired to assist you with getting started with the decluttering process.

Should I be involved in the decluttering process?

Decluttering as daunting as it might seem is fun and good for your mental and emotional health and you can only benefit from the experience by participating.

What can I expect to feel from the experience of having other people go through my personal belongings?

All experiences are personal.  There is no direct answer to this question. Clients that hire Professional Organisers experience a variety of emotions from pure relief to embarrassment.

What do I do when I feel self-conscious or embarrassed about the state of my home and don’t want anyone to see it?

Reach out to a Professional Organiser. You should never feel embarrassed or ashamed of the condition of your home. No one is perfect and we all go through different life cycles. Seeking assistance to improve the state of your home should be received with compassion and understanding. We value our relationships with clients and keep all our interactions confidential with no judgement.

Do we take before and after pictures?

Only with the permission of the client. Looking at before and after pictures are so rewarding and we love to see and share the transformations with other clients in need of our services or just inspiration to get organised.

Will you force me to discard my belongings?

No. You should never be in a position to be told by someone else to discard anything you care for. If an item sparks joy or makes you happy, keep it! As Professional Organisers, we will be unbiased and will have no attachment towards your belongings which makes it easier to ask you questions about the items you are hesitant to part ways with. The decluttering process requires us to categorise items into three main piles namely: Keep, Donate or Discard. It is during this process that your professional organiser will gain an understanding as to what items you value most.

How do you determine the cost of a project?

The costs of a decluttering or organising project will vary from space to space. Every house or office is different and we determine our costs on that principle.  We do however provide you with a quote after we have conducted the first consultation to determine your needs and expectations.

How do I book the first consultation?

What happens during a first consultation?

You can expect to meet our team of professional organisers on the date that is scheduled for an appointment.  After a friendly introduction, we assess the areas that need organising/decluttering and ask questions to understand your need or vision for the areas in question. We provide you with recommendations and insights to get organised and give you an overview as to how we will approach the organising session.

Must I supply you with anything?

No. We source all the resources like baskets, containers and organising tools that are required for the project. You don’t need to go shopping. We do however bill you separately for the organising products that are sourced once you have agreed to it.
